Completing a DBA
DBAs (Discussion Based Assessments) are oral exams located at the end of each module/unit in World History, Civics, U.S. History, and Career Research, and at the end of Module 4 in Critical Thinking. It is important to PLAN AHEAD to prepare for a DBA, which means scheduling the DBA appointment or planning to attend and online DBA Session, as well as studying your notes and reviewing the Learning Goals!
Learning Goals are located on your course pace chart and linked on the course announcement page. The Learning Goals explain the specific content you should be able to discuss at the end of completing a module/unit in the course. They are not the ONLY content topics you should be able to discuss, as you will need to know much more to successfully complete the Module/Unit Exam or project as well as the Segment/Final Exam. Reading through each lesson thoroughly and taking notes are VERY important in this learning environment. Utilizing resources to assist with preparing for assessments will help to ensure that you are a successful student!
